The Pursuit of Happiness "Champions don't become champions in the ring - they are merely recognized there"

Have you seen the movie "The Pursuit of Happiness" starring Will Smith? I watched this movie for the first time a couple of weeks ago and I am still watching it. To date I have watched it three times and will probably watch it again. I definitely recommend this movie as it is such a great illustration of the Law of Process and its humble beginnings.

This movie was so inspirational to me that I could not think of not writing my next article about this topic, as the topic touches me personally as well. What was so thought provoking was "Chris's" humble beginnings and his perseverance to live his belief that there was happiness out there; there was something better if he was willing to pursue it. How many times have you wanted something right now and did not want to wait for its arrival? How many times have you abandoned your goals because you lost hope that it would come? And, how many of you have ended up compromising your dreams because you did not believe it was possible and lost faith in the process? One or all of these scenarios has happened to me too at some time in my life....it is all part of learning and the human dilemma.

What I have learned through trial and error which is demonstrated in the movie is life will support your inner desires if they are for your higher good. If you notice in the movie, "Chris" really struggled to survive financially. Although this is a movie, could you think of a time when things were tough and you came through it with a positive ending? Everyone's path is different, some people may hit rock bottom in their pursuit of happiness while others pursue their happiness enjoying financial security. Whatever is your case, if you obey the Law of Process, continue to learn, persevere and build upon your achieve wealth and abundance happiness will follow. It is easy to get discourage and give up because the end does not appear to be insight, yet, just like "Chris" in the movie, you can continue to focus on your goal knowing it will arrive somehow, in some way, however long it takes.

- Get hungry to grow, learn, improve and develop your personal and professional skills
There are a few basic steps that will help you get started in your "Pursuit of Happiness":

The starting point of all achievement is desire. Keep this constantly in mind. Weak desires bring weak results, just as a small amount of fire makes a small amount of heat.

-Napoleon Hill
- Build on your previous day's progress
Success does not develop in a day, it takes a lifetime. It takes daily preparation to be successful so prepare for the long haul.
- Start slow
Avoid getting in a rush to get there. Take care of yourself and avoid mental and physical burnout, as well as, consider improving your mind, body and spirit connection in order to make great decisions and to avoid developing health problems.
As Theodore Roosevelt's father said to Teddy at the age of twelve, "You have the mind, but you have not the body, and without the help of the body the mind cannot go as far as it should. You must make the body."
- Pay Attention
Life talks to us through people, our experiences and surroundings so start noticing what is happening around you. Only through a greater curiosity, wonderment and thirst to know will you really begin to pay attention.
Unfortunately, sometimes our 'stuff' gets in the way and our thoughts begin to support feelings of anxiety, sadness, and discouragement instead of our pursuit of happiness. This is where I come in, and where sometimes we all need a little help from community resources to get through the Law of Process. So, if you are having trouble getting 'there' and don't know what is preventing you just give me a call and I will explain how I could help you work through it.

Until next month....
